The secret of the firefly and the loveflower

“When you love, you light up and illuminate”, her grandmother, the Wise Bird, once said to the Firefly.  “That’s the way it occurs for all beings on Earth”, she added, gracefully sipping her beloved drink made from aromatic flower nectar.

Each morning, the Firefly would go meet the Loveflower, but a morning has come, where she found it withered and struggling to breathe. “W-What’s happening to you?”, she asked, filled with concern. To which the Loveflower replied, “I believe it’s time, I believe that time has come for me to depart from this Earth. I have already lived abundantly, thanks to your love.”

Through the enchanting imagery of this tale, my intention was to convey to children the concepts of death and the enduring nature of Love that transcends it.
