Familiar characters from beloved fairy tales come to share their stories in the new book-CD released by Metronomos Publications titled “And You Lived, Happily Ever After”.
Mezzo-soprano Lillian Tsatsaroni unfolds her interpretative skills by portraying beloved heroes with lyricism and theatricality, while composer George Kagialikos approaches the young audience with respect, presenting songs crafted with passion and imagination. Illustrator Zoe Nikitaki completes the aesthetically pleasing edition by creating a fantastical world full of colors, and… the fairy tale begins!
Pinocchio, the Ugly Duckling, the Big Bad Wolf, Don Quixote, the Emperor’s Nightingale, the Moon Fairy, and even Cinderella melodically narrate their trials and remind us that fairy tales are not just for children but also for those who feel like children at heart.
The excellent musicians Dimitra Kakakis (piano), Dionysis Vervitsiotis (violin), Marinos Galatsinos (clarinet) perfectly render the simple orchestrations of Giorgos Kagialikos and transport us to a magical, musical fairytale world.
