Reflections Of A Fragile Reality

Within this section, I present a selection of artworks from my current series, each bearing a unique narrative. These creations came to fruition during a period when I encountered a temporary loss of my auditory faculties. Although this impairment was fortunately not permanent, the possibility of never regaining my hearing would mean that I wouldn’t be able to interact with children and adults though my educational art programs the same again. There would be limits to my expression. A situation that compelled me to look deep within and reflect profoundly on the enduring facets of human existence, the Soul and the Spirit.

The majority of individuals tend to direct their focus outward, engaging with the ever-shifting external reality while often neglecting the profound inner reality. The external reality is merely a reflection of another reality, it’s the reflection of a mirror, a reflection of the reflection of reality, as the great teacher and philosopher Plato stated.

As I mention in my recent book, “Coloring Healing Book – Painting the Visions of the Inner Source”, within us, there is a field of unlimited and marvelous possibilities. If we decide to connect with it, we can manifest all that we dream, all that we desire, and all that our soul needs for its evolution on the path. The Source of the Universal Mind dwells within each of us, forging a connection to the silvery cosmic thread of profound comprehension. This thread links us not only to the grand tapestry of the Universal Plan but also to the intricate design of our individual souls and the journey toward the realization of our destiny and purpose in existence.

Our most vital task on this Earth is to self-realize and acquaint ourselves with our True Self and its Essence, to become what our True Self is destined for. In doing so, we shall unearth the inner core within us, where an enduring inner joy and serenity reside, remaining untouched and unswayed, much like the precious pearl within an oyster, even when the entire external edifice crumbles.

My work, titled “Ritual of the Awakening” earned a place of prominence within the “Actor Means Light” exhibition of 2021 held at the Contemporary Space Athens/The European Centre Athens in the city of Athens. Additionally, an artwork from this series, not featured in the provided images, has received approval for participation in the forthcoming International Trienale Tijuana event in Mexico, scheduled to unfold at the Tijuana Centro Cultural from July 2024 to February 2025.
